Hey again another update from Asia:
Right now my stomach is not agreeing with me :( so im at the hotel (which have wifi) while the rest of the group is out sightseeing :,(
Ohh well ... anyway I have now left Nepal and am now i Laos (which is insanely hot!) and I have stopped by Tibet and Bangkok on the way
Tibet was really different from how i imagined. Theres alot more new big cities (especially near the old capital) and between the cities theres almost nothing. It is a really barren country, but the amazing part is that people animals and plants still live there. It was also very VERY cold there and it snowed a couple of times while we were there. And as one might expect China was controlling alot and we werent alowed to speak to much about Dalai Lama (which we ofcause did under code.... Dalai Lama = Lord Pempa). But all in all I found that it was a beautifull country with alot of culture.
Well after Tibet we said goodbye to 6 out of the group of 16 (most teavelled on to other parts of Asia alone) and then we flew to Bangkok. There we meet 9 new people from DK who is going to travel with us to the end 2 months forth. They all luckily seem nice and im looking forward to spend more time with them. We drove to Laos by night train shortly after we all got to Bangkok, so we didnt get to see much there. but we have seen alot here in Laos already ^^ Apparently theres a city in Laos where you can get a Jersey(spelling?) Shore kinda experience it has alot of bars and they only sell drinks by the bucket ... actually its very fun (so long as you dont drink to much!) especially since you can rent a "tube", a big inflatable bathing ring, and then drift from bar to bar down a river.
I think thats the highlights so far, so now im gonna go to bed and hope I get well till the others get home...
cya all in a couple of months o/

Hey mate. Sounds like you are having an amazing experience. You need to get a Tumblr/Flickr account so we can see the pictures because I am sure they will be epic.

Stay safe :)

Drinking buckets of alchohol while drifting down a river in an inflatable ring? What could possibly go wrong?

Sounds like you're having an interesting and varied experience. I'm glad that you've got a good group of people to travel with. Hope your tummy recovers soon!

Hey again
This time im sitting in a hotel in Hue, close to the border between north and south Vietnam during the war. The city is quite small, but very turisty (so theres alot of bars and hotels around) or at least in the part we are staying. The hotel is very ckose to the beautifull "perfume river" which we sailed on yesterday. We have also seen the last capital pf Vietnam before they became a coloni of France, and the mausoleum of the last independent king of Vietnam. Both very nice, but sadly almost destroyed either by France or during the war. Before we got here, we were in Sapa, a mountanious area in Vietnam, where alot of minorty groups live. We stayed at two different families, and "helped" them cook and plow the rice fields. Both was very fun and I found that working in the rice fields is very hard work, especially for your back.
As some might have noticed on the sidebar it was my birthday a couple of days ago (im now 20 and no longer in any meaning, apart from some countries' alcohol laws... a child xD) It was celebrated with song to wake me, in the night train, and watching "dark shadows" in the theatre from 9 to 12 in the morning. We went to Hue that day, so we took another night train that evening, weird to wake up and go to sleep in two different trains on the same day.
Since we havent really had an oppotunity to drink a toast to my longlivity (as is the cusyom in DK) we are going out to get hammerd tonight, lets see how many wakes up with hangovers tomorrow xD
But that (i think) was once again my highlights for now, only a months time till I get home now, cya all then o/
